Welding Supervisor

Job Description

  1. Inspect finished welds and ensure compliance with industry codes
  2. Manage welding crews
  3. In charge of welding consumables inventory
  4. Enforce OSHA or local safety regulations, report hazards, and ensure all PPE is used correctly

Requirements

  1. Possesses welding knowledge & experience in submerged arc welding, gas metal arc welding, tungsten inert gas welding, shielded metal arc welding and cored arc welding
  2. Minimum 5 years in steel structural fabrication & welding experience
  3. ASNT Level II qualification is an added advantage
  4. Hands on working attitude and good interpersonal skills
  5. Able to work independently with minimum guidance, and committed to meet tight deadlines
QC Inspector

  • RM 2,000 – RM 3,000 per month

The opportunity

Lysaght Galvanized Steel Berhad is looking for a QC Inspector in Ipoh, Perak. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and safety of our galvanized steel products.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to identify any defects or non-conformities
  • Conduct various quality tests and measurements to verify adherence to industry standards and customer specifications
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results and quality control data
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Assist in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures
  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical / Drafting / Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Related working experience will be an advantage
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong working knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and best practices
  • Proficiency in using quality control equipment and instruments
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations
  • A team player with a strong commitment to quality and safety
